In July 2015 Agrics, with business and scientific partners Manobi, Wageningen University and Biomass Research, received EUR 1,6 million funding from Netherlands Space Office for the deployment of satellite and geodata for the benefit of 200,000 smallholder farmers in Kenya and Tanzania by 2018.

Moreover, Agrics is exploring and developing several innovative business initiatives, such as the introduction of crop and life insurance (together with a leading international insurance company) and the use of mobile money in the credit repayment process. With these initiatives Agrics wll further increase food and income security for smallholder farmers and be able to grow towards 108,000 clients by 2018.
