Improving poultry business

Improving poultry business

In the second half of 2016 Agrics Kenya made several improvements to it's poultry business:

  • We increased the capacity at the poultry centre to an average of 15,000 day old chickens at any given point, through the construction of two additional holding brooders;
  • We now have strict quality control measures in place for each stage of the poultry production process;
  • Farmers receive mandatory training on e.g. housing, disease, and feed before delivery, and need to confirm that the birds are in good condition and have no signs of illness and specific symptoms. Moreover, farmers need to have a proper carrying box/crate with enough aeration to transport the kuku’s home.
